TransGas Energy Facility

The Project:  

TransGas Energy Systems ("TGE") proposes to construct and operate a combined cycle electric generating facility to operate on clean natural gas fuel having a capacity of approximately 1,100 megawatts ("MW"). Also proposed is a heat recovery and delivery infrastructure for potential steam sales. The proposed facility would be located at One North 12th Street, adjacent to the East River in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY.

To provide reliable low cost electricity and steam in a manner which is environmentally responsible and which meets all applicable regulatory requirements.

To be open and responsive to the needs of the community, actively soliciting input, suggestions, and recommendations in an open dialogue with community leadership.
